Five signs it is time for a new website
A website isn't a once-off job. Your business changes, customers' habits change, and what looked modern five years ago can quietly put people off today. Here are five signs it's time for something new.
1. It's hard to use on a phone
If you have to pinch and zoom to read it, or buttons are too small to tap, most of your visitors are having a bad time.
2. You're embarrassed to share the link
If you'd rather send people your Facebook page than your website, your website isn't doing its job.
3. The information is out of date
Old prices, old services, staff who left years ago, a 2019 copyright line. Customers notice, and it makes them wonder whether you're still trading.
4. It doesn't bring in enquiries
A website should earn its keep. If nobody ever mentions finding you online, look at how easy it is to get in touch, whether people can find you on Google, and whether the site explains what you do in the first few seconds.
5. You can't update it yourself (or nobody can)
If the person who built it has disappeared and nobody can log in, every small change becomes a crisis.
Refresh or rebuild?
If the structure is sound, a refresh with new content and photos may be enough. If it's slow, hard to use on phones and hard to update, a rebuild usually costs less in the long run. See our packages or ask us for an honest opinion.
